Don Bosco Renewal Centre is an International Training Centre of the Salesians that offers courses in ongoing formation and Professional Development programs for priests, religious and laity.

Please Note
  1. All courses begin at 6.30 p.m. of the first day of the course and conclude by noon on the last day unless indicated otherwise.
  2. It is possible to download an application form from our website. Letters confirming your admission will be sent to you soon after the last date indicated for applying.
Fees:
1. Except for course nos. 2 and 16, the fees are calculated as follows:
  • Rs. 200 per day for single self-contained room, with hot and cold running water plus food, and use of all facilities.
  • Rs. 100 per day for the course, which includes the classes and all materials provided.
  • A registration fee of Rs. 100 will be deducted from the deposit of Rs. 500 that is sent with the application form.
2. Participants from other countries

2. Community Animation Comprehensive (Sat Jan 29-Sat April 17, ‘10)
Target Group: Exclusively for those who are going to take charge of communities. Total Seats – 18 only.
This course of 11 week’s duration is our unique offering for the training of community animators. We will cover the essentials of personal growth, leadership, animation, and spirituality. This group will attend the courses 3, 4, and 5 as basic course work. In addition they will be given special follow up, evaluations, extra counseling and spiritual direction facilities, and deeper experience of community, prayer and leadership. Journal and reflective writing, and self-directed study will be important components. Register early.

8. Current Studies in Salesian Life
Target Group: Salesians, members of the Salesian family, and others including lay persons who are interested in matters Salesian.
This is an effort to bring updated research and thinking on Salesian topics within our reach. An International faculty will animate the group in a research like atmosphere. This course is intended for Salesians in general and will also be attended by students of the certificate course in Salesiana.

16. Certificate Course in Counselling (Tue Nov 9 – Wed Dec 15, ‘10)
Target Group: Persons involved/interested in Counselling, e.g, in schools, formation houses or in priestly ministry, but without advanced professional degrees in the subject.
Contents: Introducing Counselling concepts, models and approaches; qualities of the Counsellor; interviewing skills; stages and flow in the Counselling process; introduction to schools of counseling and Individual and group therapy; logotherapeutic approaches and the development of meaning; time-limited approaches; ethical issues, etc. The course will also include some supervised practice as well as individual and group Counselling sessions. Requirements for admission: (i) A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent; (ii) Fluency in English.
A certificate of attendance will be given to the participants.
