Don Bosco Renewal Centre is an International Training Centre of the Salesians that offers courses in ongoing formation and Professional Development programs for priests, religious and laity.

All courses begin at 06.30 p.m. of the first day indicated for the course and conclude by noon on the last day.
It is possible to apply through our website. Letters confirming your admission will be sent to you soon after the last date indicated for applying.
Fees Top
Except for course nos. 5, 12 and 13, the fees are calculated as follows:
1 Participants from India and the SAARC countries
 
  1. Rs. 180 per day for single self-contained room, with hot and cold running water plus food, and use of all facilities.
  2. Rs. 80 per day for the course, which includes the classes and all materials provided.
  3. A registration fee of Rs. 100 will be deducted from the deposit of Rs. 500 that is sent with the application form.

7. Current Studies on Salesian Life (25 May to 30 May)
Target Group: Salesians, members of the Salesian family, and others includes lay persons who are interested in matters Salesian.

Contents: This is an effort to bring the current research and thinking on Salesian topics within our reach. An International faculty will animate the group in a research like atmosphere.

12. Certificate Course in Counseling (2 Oct to 31 Oct)
Target Group: Persons involved/interested in counseling, e.g, in schools, formation houses or in priestly ministry, but without advanced professional degrees in the subject.

Contents: Introducing counseling concepts, models and approaches; qualities of the counselor; interviewing skills; stages and flow in the counseling process; introduction to group therapy; logo therapeutic approaches and the development of meaning; time-limited approaches; practice and ethical issues, etc. The course will also include some supervised practice as well as individual and group counseling sessions. (Team coordinated by JT).
A certificate of attendance will be given to the participants.

13. Counselling Level 2 (14 Oct to 31 Oct)
Target Group: Those who have completed the Certificate Course in Counseling of DBRC or its equivalent from elsewhere. At least part-time experience in counseling in non-professional settings like schools, formation houses etc. would be required for admission.

Contents: This course will run concurrently with the Certificate Course (no.12 above) . Candidates will have to participate in serious group therapy followed by debriefing and training, provided by experienced and qualified psychologists. Other topics covered will include introduction to the schools and approaches in counseling. An integrative paper will be required to be handed in.
A certificate of completion will be given at the end.

15. Taking Charge of Your Life (1 Dec to 20 Dec)
Target Group: Religious and priests who are in the first 10 years of their life as finally professed or as priests, and hence in the age group of 30 to 45 years.

Contents: Reviewing the past and learning from experiences; issues related to religious and pastoral commitment, personal prayer, sexuality and emotional life, free time, money and accountability, relationships, discipline and responsibility, disillusion and perseverance, personal growth and spirituality (DBRC team).
